Campaign Issues
Fiscal Responsibility.
The Sheriff must be fiscally responsible with taxpayers' money. Over the past few years, the Sheriff's office budget has increased unacceptably. As your Sheriff, I will establish a good working relationship with the county administrator and commissioners to provide quality police services that are fair and manageable for the taxpayers.
Accessibility.
A Sheriff has a responsibility to be accessible to the citizens. If elected, I promise to be accessible to anyone needing to speak with the Sheriff. I will always make myself available to the citizens and employees. An appointment will NOT be required to gain an audience with the Sheriff. I will hear the citizens' concerns and needs and promptly address them.
Quality Police Services.
The deputies of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office are in a position of trust and responsibility within the community. It is important to continually promote high expectations and provide a clear mission for the Sheriff's office. Integrity, Fairness, Respect, and Professionalism are fundamental values that are the cornerstones of responsible law enforcement.
- Integrity. We will be responsible for our actions based on the highest standard of ethics. We will remain committed to being honest, moral, and trustworthy.
- Fairness. We will consistently treat everyone fairly, impartially, and compassionately. We will be mindful of our duty to preserve equality and diversity.
- Respect. We will recognize and support the needs and rights of the community, those in our custody, and one another by performing our duties with dignity, pride, and honor.
- Professionalism. We expect to be held accountable for our actions, not only by ourselves but also by our community. We will perform our duties with professional excellence as we remain dedicated and responsive to our community's needs.
