From the beginning of my career in law enforcement, my goal was to become Sheriff of Liberty County. I feel that my knowledge of the community, my experience in law enforcement, and my education make me uniquely qualified to be Sheriff. I promise to be a Sheriff that is accessible to the citizens and dedicated to the betterment of the community.
Why Gary Richardson is Running
I desire to continue serving the community and giving back as your Sheriff. My reason for seeking election to the Office of Sheriff is to help make Liberty County a better, safer place for all of us to live and raise families. Under my leadership, the men and women of the Sheriff's Office will focus on accomplishing identified goals in the most efficient and cost-saving ways possible. The Sheriff must be fiscally responsible, a steward of the people's money that funds every deputy and the agency's work. The Sheriff should provide quality police services without unnecessarily burdening the taxpayers. The Sheriff must also be accessible to the citizens. If elected, I promise to be accessible and responsive to the people's needs. There is no place where I would want to continue to use my experience and training to serve others and make a positive difference other than Liberty County, where I was born and raised.
Under my supervision, the Sheriff's Office will provide public safety services fairly and impartially. An elected Sheriff's duties apply to all citizens regardless of politics, race, religion, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, or opinion. I have worked well with all segments of society. My experience, leadership, training, and proven track record of positive accomplishments in and outside of Liberty County, make me your best choice to serve as your Sheriff. I hope you agree.
